The origins of the Tala brand can be traced back to 1899, when Frederick Taylor and Thomas Law (whose first letters of their surnames made up the brand name), teamed up and set up their own company in Birmingham, where they manufactured kitchen accessories. In the 1940s, Anne Annson, the master baker, became the face of the brand, and the 1950s saw the introduction of Tala's distinctive corporate styling of products, user-friendly and suitable for display in the kitchen.
