Plafonds
11 products
A plafond, once a decorative part of the vault, decorated with a bas-relief or fresco, now a popular form of ceiling lighting. Unlike hanging lamps, plafonds adhere closely to the surface of the ceiling, thus taking up little space. This makes them ideal for low interiors and attics, as well as small rooms such as the hallway, wardrobe or bathroom. Despite its flat form, the plafond can be as decorative as a traditional hanging lamp. A perfect example of unusual design is the Caboche plafond by Foscarini designed by Patricia Urquiola and Eliana Gerotto. The light bulb is placed under a crystal-like lamp shade, which diffuses light beautifully. Such a lamp will also look beautifully in the living room or office. For minimalists we recommend simple Kaspa plafonds.
