A coffee table is a piece of furniture on which we put not only a cup of coffee... When we sit down in the armchair or on the sofa, we use it as a footstool, a storage for books and newspapers, and as shelves for other things. A coffee table can be an unusual decoration of a living room and can serve as an original pedestal for a flower vase or a beautiful arrangement of trinkets. A modern coffee table made of light materials, such as steel and glass, will be ideal for small interiors decorated in a minimalist manner, while a wooden table with a marble or slate top will complement the living room decorated in a classic or Scandinavian style. A table made of durable plastic in a strong colour will fit into loft and city interiors. The form of the table is equally important - it does not necessarily have to consist of a table top and four legs. It can be openwork, on wheels or in the form of a practical locker.
