Ćmielów Design Studio

Ćmielów Design Studio is a brand of Polskie Fabryki Porcelany "Ćmielów" i "Chodzież" S.A., developed since January 2013. Its co-founder and artistic director is Marek Cecuła, an internationally recognised ceramic artist and designer. ĆDS is a studio created at the historic Polish factory to bring a modern, fresh perspective on traditional table porcelain. The Ćmielów Design Studio brand, together with its sister brands "Ćmielów and "Chodzież" S.A., is part of the Wistil capital group, which also includes Zakłady Porcelany Stołowej "Lubiana" S.A. Ćmielów Design Studio implies a new, creative approach to the creation of porcelain and believes in drawing on the experience and potential of talented designers from around the world. ĆDS initiated the 'art for industry' movement, which aims to raise awareness of the important role designers play in the process of creating an industrial product. 'Bent' mugs and crockery are the brand's most distinctive product.
