The name of the company - Palomar - was given in honour of the main character of Italo Calvino's novel "Mr. Palomar". This book is about Mr. Palomar's considerations about life, stars, waves... The products designed by the company referred, especially at the beginning of its existence, to the world of Mr. Palomar. A perfect example is the ZoomArt telescope by Cristina Cencetti, wife of Fabio Palchetti, the founder of Palomar SRL, named after one of the largest astronomical observatories in the world. It is the first optical instrument in the world dedicated to detailed observation. The ZoomArt telescope has become a hit and is sold in bookstores of the main museums in Italy. It is worth mentioning that visitors to the Sistine Chapel in Rome can use it to discover amazing details of the frescoes. In 2010 Fabio and Cristina meet Emanuel Pizzolorusso, a young designer who lives in Finland. Together they decide to produce Crumpled City Maps - one of the brand's most recognizable products. From now on, Palomar's product catalogue has been joined not only by wall decorations, 'bent' sky and city maps for children as well as bicycle lights. FormAdore invites all those who want adventure!
