Kay Bojesen is a legend of Danish design. Trained as a goldsmith, it was only at the age of 50 that he discovered his passion for creating forms from wood. He created animals that, despite the material they were made of, were delicate, rounded in shape and felt good in the hand - and on top of that, were extremely friendly. The wooden monkey even found its way into the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and is still considered a classic of Danish design.
All of Kay Bojesen's products are designs with soul. Wooden toys with an unusual personality are designed to awaken the child in their users and evoke memories of their earliest years. The designs in the manufacturer's catalogue will become simple, surprising and extremely sophisticated interior decoration.
