3. Turkish Coffee with Chilli and Cocoa

Turkish coffee brewed with chilli is a sharp, distinctly flavoured, wonderfully warming and invigorating drink, perfect for long, winter evenings. Adding chilli and cocoa to coffee not only diversifies its taste but also enriches the coffee drink with valuable nutrients for our health. Turkish coffee, for which you need a cezve resembling a small jug with a long handle, is simple to prepare, but requires a little patience, as it needs to be heated several times. Warming coffee with chilli is an ideal choice for people who love very aromatic, intense, and strong coffee drinks.

Ingredients:

  • 2 teaspoons of freshly ground coffee
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 100 ml of cold water
  • 1 teaspoon of cocoa
  • a pinch of chilli

Preparation:

  • Pour the ground coffee into the cezve, add very cold water. Add sugar.
  • Place the cezve on the hob and start heating on a low flame. You must constantly monitor the coffee's temperature to prevent it from boiling.
  • When foam appears on the coffee, remove the cezve from the heat and wait a few minutes.
  • Add chilli and sieved cocoa to the cezve with coffee, put it back on the hob and heat again. Repeat this three times.
  • After the last heating of the coffee with cocoa, wait a few minutes for the grounds to settle at the bottom.
  • Pour the ready drink into a coffee cup.

4. Irish Coffee, a recipe for Irish coffee

Irish Coffee, which is coffee brewed with brown sugar and Irish whiskey, decorated with freshly whipped cream, is a delicious, simple to prepare, and warming drink. Just the ticket for winter afternoons! Learn how to brew Irish coffee.

Ingredients:

  • 2 teaspoons of coffee beans
  • 100 ml of water
  • 1 teaspoon of brown sugar
  • 30 ml of whiskey
  • 1/4 cup of lightly whipped 30% cream

Preparation:

  • Grind the coffee beans in a coffee grinder.
  • Pour water into the lower part of an aluminium or stainless steel Moka pot.
  • Place the filter basket on the water reservoir. Add the freshly ground coffee. Do not tamp it down, just gently tap the filter against the kitchen counter so the coffee settles well.
  • Attach the upper part of the Moka pot, where the ready coffee collects. Screw the device together.
  • Brewing coffee in a Moka pot is really simple. Place the Moka pot on a gas hob, electric hob, or even an induction hob (at FormAdore you'll find a wide selection of induction Moka pots). Wait a few minutes for the boiling water to create pressure and pass from the lower reservoir, through the filter, to the upper part of the coffee maker.
  • Immediately after hearing the characteristic gurgling sound, turn off the hob and remove the Moka pot from the burner. Aromatic and intensely flavoured Moka pot coffee is ready!
  • Pour hot coffee into a warmed stemmed glass and add sugar. Stir with a coffee spoon until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add whiskey, stir again. Decorate the Irish coffee with whipped cream.
  • This prepared coffee should be drunk through the layer of whipped cream, which is best prepared using a milk frother.
