The sun is shining, May is in full bloom, so it's high time to pull out the barbecues and picnic blankets and ignite some outdoor relaxation with delicious food and cheerful people all around. But how to do it smartly and stylishly? We've got the tips and inspiration :)
Time for a picnic!
Phew, finally. Although we drowned Marzanna ages ago, spring kept us waiting. Luckily, with the arrival of May, nature has blossomed.
Warm, sunny days encourage spending time outdoors. One of the most enjoyable outdoor activities is picnicking. Picnics can be divided into two types: spontaneous and planned. For the former, it's simpler – you grab what you have handy (a picnic blanket, cushions, a few ready-made snacks) and off you go.

A planned picnic is a slightly more complex affair, but the joy derived from it is incomparably greater. The organisation of the picnic itself is great fun! You choose a date and a suitable spot, rope in some friends (or prepare a surprise picnic for your significant other). You make food for the picnic, plan extra attractions, get the Polaroid ready...
Not sure what to take on a picnic? Worried you'll forget something? Don't fret, that's precisely why this Magazine was created. We'll help you pack your picnic basket creatively ❤
Grass is lovely, but cold ground – not so much. Plus, sitting on cool surfaces isn't good for your health! So, if you're racking your brains about what to take on a picnic, the number one answer will always be a picnic blanket with insulation.
A suitable blanket is a picnic must-have, but it's not the only way to look after your back and bottom during an outdoor excursion :) It's also a good idea to bring a few garden cushions or outdoor beanbags (especially if a larger picnic for several people is on the cards).
Sitting without back support for too long can really take its toll!

If you picnic rather rarely and mostly spontaneously, opt for a simple wicker basket or a fabric bag. An elaborate picnic basket with all the trimmings won't be necessary ",– it would be a shame for it to go to waste!
However, if with the first rays of spring sunshine you're as happy as a pig in muck, because you know that warmth = picnic, you've already got dozens of recipes for picnic snacks gathered over winter in your notebook, and you plan to spend every weekend out of town, then know that you are... an incorrigible picnic enthusiast. And it's precisely for people like you that professional picnic baskets were created:
Basket...
Wicker picnic baskets are heavier and less convenient; they can't be folded, even when empty. However, they have an undeniable charm, which many believe is an essential element of the picnic atmosphere!
...or bag?
Bags are light, flexible, and soft (they can be folded). If you opt for a bag, we recommend a thermal bag – thanks to its insulation, your picnic snacks will stay fresh and be served at the right temperature.
Every dish tastes better outdoors! Food at a picnic is the main event. Does every dish have picnic potential? Not necessarily. It's better to avoid very hot or very cold dishes. The former will become rubbery and lose their crispiness; the latter, such as ice cream or sorbets, will simply melt! So, how do you put together a picnic menu?

The picnic table is best laden with colourful cold snacks. This way, instead of stressing about finding a spot to lay out the picnic blanket as quickly as possible ("The ice cream has already melted!", "The schnitzels must be cold by now!") you'll be able to focus on enjoying nature, which, notably, is the main point of any picnic.
Make sure the picnic dishes are served appropriately. It's been known for ages that we eat with our eyes first!
Everyone knows about barbecues, or at least everyone thinks they do, so advice like:
