Beach towels, as the name suggests, are primarily useful at the beach, but they're not just for sandy shores! They're also perfect towels for picnics or any outdoor excursion. So, how do you choose the right beach towel? It's worth paying attention not only to its size and appearance but also to its grammage and the material it's made from.
Beach Towel Sizes
A beach towel needs to be, above all, comfortable and functional. Its size certainly plays a big role in that. In our selection, you'll find beach towels measuring 100 x 180 cm, as well as 80 x 200 cm or 70 x 180 cm. These are large towels that guarantee comfortable drying after a swim, but also allow you to wrap your body right after getting out of the water to warm up. What's more, a large beach towel can easily replace a beach blanket, act as a privacy screen when you need to change on the beach, or provide cover in case of an unexpected change in weather.
Beach Towel – Grammage
The functionality of a beach towel is also determined by its grammage, expressed in grams per square meter. The higher the grammage, the more weaves there are, which translates into the towel's weight, its absorbency, but also a longer drying time. Thick towels absorb water much better, but at the same time, they are heavy and not very convenient to carry to the beach. Therefore, when it comes to beach towels, it's worth opting for a model with a medium grammage, oscillating around 450-500 g/m2. Such a towel is sufficiently absorbent, dries quickly in the sun, and yet isn't too heavy, fitting easily into a beach bag.
