The modern Cucu cuckoo clock by Lemnos is a design that combines a reflective character and nostalgia for the past (especially when it comes to design) with a modern form.
The rectangular case with rounded corners, apart from the square opening - the cuckoo's hollow - is characterised by hour markings placed on a circular plan and two straight hands. The
white version, made
of MDF, is ideal for minimalist interiors, while the two
wooden versions (lighter and darker) are proposals that will warm up slightly more classic interiors with their natural warmth. The main star of the design presented here is, of course, the
white cuckoo, which, appearing and disappearing in the darkness of the clock, will remind us that time passes ... and quite quickly! and quite fast!
A two-stage adjustment scale for the volume of the cuckoo's singing and a light sensor will allow the clock to be adapted to the user's needs. The clock is equipped with a Japanese ticking mechanism.
The Japanese brand Lemnos takes its name from the Greek island inhabited, according to Greek mythology, by
the god Hephaestus - guardian of all craftsmen. Indeed, the brand's clocks are produced with the care and commitment typical of craftsmen who put not only their skills but also their hearts into their work. Lemnos clocks are additionally an example of beautiful and functional design. These are clocks which, in addition to telling time, define the character and create the personality of the interiors in which they are placed.
