Thanks to the design of the Antechinus cheese knife presented here, its author, Anita Dineen, won the first edition of the Alessi and Living Design Award - Australia 2014. What made this knife delight the judges? Firstly, its form, which - perhaps surprisingly - was inspired by the love of furry rodents for delicious cheese. Hence, the shape of the knife alludes to the appearance of the Antechinus (chutney) - an Australian, small mouse-like rodent. The knife is characterised by its handy shape, which the designer guarantees will not get lost among the pieces of cheese and grapes. Created from a single piece of AISI 420 stainless steel, it is sure to appeal to lovers of delicious snacks and beautiful design.
