Professor Wilhelm Wagenfeld began working with the WMF brand as early as the 1950s, and his designs are still part of the German manufacturer's range. Wagenfeld is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of the industrial trend in design, and his commitment to the useful, functional aspect of objects can be seen in all the products in the collection. It was also he who created and popularised the use of Cromargan® - a material patented by WMF, which is a high-quality 18/10 stainless steel alloy that is durable and taste-neutral - in industrial production.
