Wagenfeld is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of the industrial trend in design, and his commitment to the useful, functional aspect of objects is evident in all the products in the collection. It was also he who created and popularised the use of Cromargan® - a material patented by the WMF brand, which is a high-quality 18/10 stainless steel alloy that is durable and taste-neutral - in industrial production.
