Inspired by laboratory glassware, this subtle carafe can be used to serve both cold and hot drinks. The name is not a coincidence - thanks to the graduation on the carafe (4 different designs), you can measure out 1 litre of your favourite beverage with laboratory precision.
Main features:
- The professional laboratory glassware used guarantees the highest quality and durability.
- The sophisticated graphic design on the surface of the glass is in fact a functional graduation scale for measuring millilitres.
- The carafe has a capacity of 1 litre and comes in 4 different designs.
- It can be washed in the dishwasher.
- The minimalist/contemporary form inspired by laboratory glass is perfect for any type of interior.
How to use:
- For serving all kinds of drinks both cold and hot.
Materials used:
- The carafe is made of the highest quality borosilicate glass, produced in only a few places in Europe, which is distinguished by the following features compared to standard sodium glass: higher thermal resistance, higher resistance to thermal shock, lower susceptibility to tarnishing under the influence of cleaning agents.
- Borosilicate glass does not react with food, does not absorb odours and does not contain hazardous substances.
Good to know!
- David Derksen - the author of 1L Carafe - is a well-known Dutch designer who has exactly the same idea as the brand tre when designing: "Good living is about rejecting the superfluous. We believe that simple objects are the best. We admire the ingenuity behind the obvious."
- Until recently, borosilicate glass was only used for laboratory apparatus, but today it is becoming increasingly popular for use as kitchenware and in products for children and babies.
