Description

Keep your fruit and vegetables fresher for longer with Oxo's specially designed GreenSaver container. The premise of the Greensaver range of kitchen containers is to extend the life of fruit and vegetables, resulting in greater savings and less wasted food.

Main features:
  • The GreenSaver is a unique container fitted with a carbon filter made from coconut shells, which absorbs ethylene, the gas responsible for ripening vegetables and fruit faster and therefore losing their freshness more quickly.
  • The basket inside (which also serves as a colander) can be pulled out. It ensures proper airflow and optimal humidity. It prevents the stored food from coming into contact with the walls of the container, which in turn ensures air circulation and prevents moisture from settling on the food, slowing down the rotting process.
  • Each Greensaver container has an adjustable vent, allowing the optimum level of humidity to be maintained for stored fruit and vegetables.
How to use:
  • Lettuce, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, as well as medium-sized fruit such as plums can be placed in the container.
  • The basket itself is also ideal as a strainer for rinsing.

  • One carbon filter is included.
  • To make the containers easier to use, the manufacturer has included an indication on the bottom of the vent of the recommended humidity for different types of fruit and vegetables. One carbon filter with a life span of 90 days is included (replacement filters available separately), and an indicator on the housing reminds you when you need to change the filter, thanks to the option to mark the month in which the filter was changed.
