At first sight, the object looks more like a sculpture than a kettle. The shiny steel of the body and the mahogany handle and whistle with their unconventional shapes create a true work of art. The author is Californian architect Frank Gehry, who created the Pito kettle for Alessi in 1992. His works show a fascination with the unusual, organic forms of nature. In the case of the kettle, these are dynamic, springy shapes reminiscent of fish. The kettle is not suitable for induction.
