Tea, which, according to legends, originated in Tsarist China, is today considered a common drink, mainly due to its availability and ease of preparation. Well... are we really doing it right? Preparing a good cup of tea requires a little knowledge and, importantly, the right setting. To delight your guests with an aromatic infusion of tea leaves, it is important not only to have the right steeping time, but also how it is served. The Viva Scandinavia brand - an expert in creating accessories to help prepare and serve this noble beverage - can help us with this.

Viva Scandinavia in homage to tea

Viva Scandinavia products were born out of a desire to brew the best tea. It is also a desire to give every lover of the beverage elegant crockery and accessories that allow the perfect brew to be prepared at home. Viva Scandinavia was founded in Copenhagen and, as its name suggests, the design of its products is strongly linked to contemporary Scandinavian design, based on streamlined and elegant lines and muted warm tones. Together with the Viva Scandinavia brand, we present a tea lover's essential.

Brewing jugs - brew and serve

Viva Scandinavia is firmly committed to combining good design and practicality. That is why its portfolio includes a unique collection of teapots with a brewing j ug. They work simply - pour tea leaves into the container and pour hot water into the pot. The tea is brewed in a natural way and the teapot can be immediately placed on the table.

Among the most interesting models is the Jaimi teapot, which comes in a classic version and a two-piece version with a cup. The porcelain Nina teapot also looks great on the table, available in three pastel colours with a matte finish: mint, black and white. For lovers of glass vessels, there is the Nicola and Bjorn jug.

Heating up the pots

When brewing tea, it is important to heat the pot in advance. The water then does not lose its temperature, which is crucial when preparing a good infusion of tea leaves.

Mug, cup or glass?

Prepared tea must be served properly. The times when black tea was served in a glass are long gone. A good drink should have an equally good setting. Fortunately, Viva Scandinavia has taken care of fans who like to drink tea from a cup as well as from mugs.

Teacups look particularly good at more formal celebrations and gatherings. They should also not be missing from the equipment of any good tea room or restaurant. A teacup will prove useful on a daily basis - during breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The various forms that can be found among the Viva Scandinavia products mean that there is something for everyone. From the traditional mugs with ears from the Classic series, through the stylised paper mugs from the café chains - available in various colours and sizes, hiding under the Anytime collection; to the mugs with a Minima brewer - practical and allowing you to quickly prepare your favourite tea.

The essentials of tea tableware

Good tea service is not just about the teapot and cups. It is also a good idea to provide a sugar bowl and milk jug, a saucer with sliced lemon and a separate plate for the tea bag.

Sugar bowl and milk jug - not just for coffee!

Now that we have mentioned the sugar bowl, many traditionalists will probably protest: "What do you mean, sweetened tea!". Don't be alarmed by this, let's drink tea the way we like it - with or without sugar. This is why a sugar bowl is an essential part of any tea service. A milk jug with fresh milk or cream, on the other hand, will allow you to prepare an essential English-style tea.

And if not sugar, then what? Try honey! Honey has valuable vitamins and trace elements, so it's a great way to sweeten your tea in a healthy way. A clever and aesthetically pleasing honey jar with a practical scoop from Viva Scandinavia is a great way to complete your tea set. Just remember not to add honey to very hot tea - it loses its nutritional properties and minerals then.

Did you know?

The British prepare their tea the English way by adding milk to tea - not the other way round! They find the drink tastier and more flavoursome this way. The ratio of milk to tea is about 1/3.

The tea brewer is a staple

The basic tea brewing accessory should not be forgotten either, which, in the age of tea bags, has been somewhat forgotten. However, the Danish brand proves that the tea infuser can also have a unique form and style. A unique model made of glass and resembling a laboratory test tube is proof of this. The Infusion teapots, both the floating and the 'hanging' versions, are available in a wide range of colours, allowing you to choose the right shade to match your tea set.

For iced tea - the carafe

And we must not forget the lovers of iced tea - especially loved on hot days, where it can work wonders when added with ice cubes and refreshing mint. In order to keep the freshness and soothing coolness for longer, use a carafe - especially those with a cooling insert. On the other hand, double-walled mugs and glasses are a great way to ensure that a cool drink does not heat up too quickly when held in the hand. Both of these solutions can be found in the Viva Scandinavia range, proving the Danish brand's comprehensive approach to tea and all that it entails.
