Garden furniture is a special category in home and garden furnishings. Its durability is constantly put to the test – by scorching sunbeams, lashing rain, high humidity, or swirling dust.

The renowned Danish brand Skagerak has once again risen to the challenge of the tough outdoor conditions. Garden furniture from the Tradition, Mojo and Fuori series is an exceptional range of products designed for outdoor use. Why exceptional? The common thread running through Skagerak's outdoor collections is their extraordinary durability, high-quality craftsmanship, and minimalist design, all imbued with that classic Scandinavian spirit.

Skagerak offers wooden garden furniture, but that's not all! The material Skagerak uses for the covers of their garden furniture cushions truly deserves special attention:

Barriere® Panama Fibre

Barriere® Panama fibre is the main asset of Skagerak's outdoor furniture collection. It combines the strength and resistance of synthetic material with the softness and gentleness of cotton. The material is waterproof, stain-resistant, and effectively inhibits the growth of mould between its fibres. Crucially, it can be easily machine washed (at 30°C).

Tradition Modular Furniture

The name of this collection is a bit of a misnomer. The furniture in this series stands out for its modern style, which tends to stray from traditional solutions used for garden furnishings. The fundamental feature of the Tradition collection is the modular nature of its garden armchairs, which can be combined in hundreds of different ways. The sheer number of possible combinations means that Tradition furniture will always surprise with its freshness and versatility.

Uniquely for this brand, the collection includes aluminium garden furniture. The frames are made from powder-coated aluminium, which is characterised by its lightness and durability. The cushions are made from a foam with a special open fibre structure, allowing for free air circulation and rapid water evaporation. The Barriere® Panama fabric upholstery completes the picture of the masterful craftsmanship of Skagerak's Tradition modular garden furniture collection.

The Beauty of Contrasts

Skagerak designers turn to teak wood just as often as they do to aluminium. The contrast between these two materials is a characteristic feature of the Fuori collection, where furniture is made from both aluminium and wood. The Danish brand prides itself on using teak with an FSC 100% certificate, which guarantees that the wood harvesting method has not contributed to environmental degradation.

In the Mojo collection, the seating truly stands out – a terrace pouffe and chair – combining the best features of Skagerak products. The aluminium structure is light and strong, while the cushions upholstered in Barriere® Panama material can be safely left outdoors, even during cooler spells and passing showers.

And out of season...

Skagerak garden furniture is designed to withstand harsh conditions, but it does require a minimal amount of care. For the winter period, the manufacturer advises storing the furniture under cover – ideally in unheated spaces such as a garage or cellar.
