Minimalism, or what?

Minimalist style (both in life and in design) is an attitude that avoids excess, unnecessary elements, non-functional solutions and the accumulation of a large number of objects. True minimalists prefer to live happily and unencumbered rather than own too much!

1)No unnecessary objects! Minimalism is all about what you really need. Every piece of furniture and accessory should have a function, and preferably several, to reduce the number of objects in the home.

2) Objects and furniture should be as simple and reduced in form as possible so that they do not overwhelm and are as versatile as possible. This will allow us to enjoy them for much longer.

3) Use natural, high-quality materials - since we have few things, let's make sure they are of good quality, have been produced in the most environmentally sustainable way possible and are recyclable for the future.

4) The colour palette here tends to be neutral and therefore versatile - earthy colours, whites, blacks, beiges, greys, we look for timeless colours, but also in fashionable, contrasting combinations when necessary. We can also boldly break up these colours with something sharper - some distinctive, strong colour or a touch of 'glamour' like gold or silver. But everything is in moderation!

5) Fight for as much space as possible - in minimalism, we do not clutter but enlarge (even only optically) the space. Hence the bright colours, simple forms of furniture and lack of unnecessary ornaments and decorations. Another important aspect is light - appropriate lighting can add an extra dimension to a room and introduce a lot of warmth, which breaks the austerity of minimalism.

We love a variety of styles in our spaces, as we believe there should be something for everyone - minimalists and maximalists alike.
