The first thing that usually springs to mind is scented candles. We place them in the bedroom or living room, and soon the room fills with the scent of a forest, vanilla, or cinnamon. These candles usually come in attractive glass containers.

In ancient times, candles were handmade, primarily from beeswax (for the wealthy and elite) and animal fat (much cheaper, but certainly not for vegans!). Nowadays, production mainly uses paraffin or stearin. Soy candles are also very popular (they burn longer, are vegan, and non-toxic), as are candles made from coconut or vegetable wax.
