Description
The Luki silicone sushi mat was designed by Luki Huber. The traditional Makisu mat is made of bamboo sticks connected by string. Lekue decided to challenge tradition and create a modern mat using silicone. Purists will no doubt be outraged, but the silicone mat has several advantages over the traditional one. The silicone mat is non-sticky, and it is much easier to keep clean than a traditional mat. This makes the job of preparing delicious sushi much easier.

It is easier to wash than a standard mat but it is more flexible, which enforces greater skill in rolling the flour, It is also smaller than bamboo mats. However, it has more uses. As a mat only sushi would have 2/5 but the fact that it can be made as a stand under pots etc. increases its functionality to 4/5 (prices are not included in the opinion, because for a mate it's quite expensive)

The silicone used for the Luki range of kitchen fittings is high-quality platinum silicone.
Its surface does not stick to food.
The temperature range in which it can be used is -60 to 260 degrees C.
Therefore, the Luki series kitchenware items can be placed in the oven, microwave and freezer. Dishwasher washing is also permitted.
