Vitriini is a collection designed by Anu Penttinen for the Finnish glassware company Iittala. The designer has redefined the idea of a container, a casket in which we keep the objects close to us. Vitriini, made of glass, instead of hiding the contents present them to the world through a rainbow palette of coloured glass. The collection includes containers made entirely of transparent material, as well as those in which the transparent lid is accompanied by a bottom made of lacquered aluminium or wood. "Vitriini" means "showcase" in Finnish. - A set of containers will make it possible to effectively display trinkets that usually lie lonely on shelves. The fact that Vitriini comes in two sizes and many colours and variations will help you create your own personal display.
The 10.8 x 10.8 cm containers on display are made entirely of glass and are available in various colours. This allows you to match the containers to the items you wish to display. The Vitriini can be part of an elegant gift - as a container for a trinket you are giving - as they are packaged in a gift box.
