Designed by Tapio Wirkkala, the series is a heavy, elegant proposition that would be perfect for richly decorated interiors. Ultima Thule is the Latin name sometimes used to refer to Greenland - the decoration of the collection's elements refers to this fact by evoking the motif of water and ice. The extremely striking decoration is the result of methods developed over the years. The glass from which the dishes are made is shaped in wooden moulds, thanks to which the elements of the collection differ in texture - it changes as the moulds are fired through the heated glass. The pitcher will be perfect for serving ice-cooled drinks, emphasising the refreshing impression with its design.
