A glass dish is one of the products that made Iittala known around the world, a related design was at the heart of Scandinavian design. It was a vase that was designed in 1936, and a year later made a great impression at the world exhibition in Paris. The irregular, organic shape and beauty of transparent, colored glass, as well as the freedom of use, whose advocate was Aalvar Alto, distinguished the dish from other products presented at the exhibition. Today, the characteristic line taken from the edge of the vase decorates with its unique charm a number of glass products from the Iittala offer. Despite the passage of years, the Alvar Aalto collection remains a valid and attractive proposition.
