Ku is a dinnerware series first designed by Toyo Ito in 2006. Characterised by delicate, funnel-shaped lines, the tableware is a minimalist proposal whose extraordinary elegance was rewarded in 2013 by awarding the designer the prestigious Pritzker Prize (a kind of Nobel Prize of design). Following the ever-changing trends, both in the sphere of lifestyle and interior design, the Alessi brand, in collaboration with the designer, decided to refresh the collection presented here, gently changing the shapes of some elements and the type of porcelain used. The subtle restyling has proved to be most successful, thanks to which the Ku collection returns to the Alessi 2013 catalogue in a new, even more attractive look.
The coffee cup saucer presented here from the Ku 2013 collection is a simple vessel with rounded lines and a funnel-shaped form characteristic of the entire collection.
