Here is an original saucer from the MetroChic collection by Villeroy & Boch - designed for a 170 ml and 230 ml coffee or tea cup.
Interestingly:
- The saucer is decorated with a design by Barry Goralnick.
- It is slightly asymmetrical - the place for the cup has been moved away from the centre of the saucer, leaving space on the side for a spoon or... a biscuit.
- A special tab ensures that the cup does not move, remaining in one place at all times.
- The saucer is made of bone china.
