The
Roman wall clock presented here by
Arne Jacobsen, the world-famous Danish architect and interior designer, is a clock that was designed
in 1942 for the City Hall building in the Danish city of Aarhus, a building that was also designed by Arne Jacobsen. The appearance of the clock, which is now available in four sizes, is faithful to the designer's original drawings and is mainly characterised by
a classic Roman hour index, decorative black hands, a white dial, an
aluminium case and
mineral glass. Thanks to the mechanism case and its design, the clock seems to
float in the air, which adds to its extraordinary lightness. The clock is equipped with a
Japanese RHYTHM mechanism (except for the largest version with SKP mechanism) and is powered by
AA 1.5V batteries (batteries not included).
