Reminiscent of an
openwork doily, Guido Venturini's light
fruit platter is shaped to beautifully display the fruit placed on it, thanks to its unusual
subtlety and delicacy. The designer was inspired by the
handicrafts omnipresent in his family home.
Lace, doilies, tablecloths and crochet filled every spare moment of the designer's mother, who, many years later, learnt to perceive in them the extraordinary beauty that lies in the subtlety and delicacy of the forms. It turned out that these forms could also be reproduced with the help of modern technology, namely laser cutting in steel. The original vessel, made of the highest quality 18/10
stainless steel, is available in two finishes -
steel and
epoxy-coated. Simple and
minimalist, yet striking.
