Even the most successful cake will taste even better if you decorate it properly. It may cost us some time, we will need a few accessories and a whole lot of concentration, but it is worth the sacrifice to surprise friends and family with a beautiful and sweet masterpiece. It's an art for which, fortunately, we don't need any special artistic skills, and the end result can exceed our expectations.
Shortcrust pastries, apple pies or delicious yeasty buns don't need any special treatment, but that doesn't mean we can't give them a little variety. A little crumble or sweet icing will enhance their taste and appearance. A simple yet effective solution is to sprinkle them with a thin layer of icing sugar - a fine strainer or special shaker will make this task much easier. This way, they are sure to please all tastes.

The preparation of a cake can be divided into two main stages. The baking - which is relatively simple, given that we can even use ready-made mixes, and its decoration, which completely unnecessarily spends sleepless nights for the beginners of the confectionery profession. With the help of a so-called sleeve, we can make fancy patterns out of the cream. Spectacular effects can be achieved by adding food colouring in various colours to the velvety mass. Do not be afraid to experiment - colour expression and artistic disorder never go out of fashion.
If you prefer simple forms, opt to cover your baked goods entirely in icing or chocolate - apply them with a hot knife to avoid unevenness. Go for originality. Put a set of decorations on top instead of the traditional figurines. Your guests won't taste them, but they will undoubtedly catch their eye and surprise them with their innovation. And if you feel up to it, you can make the decorations out of icing, which will be easy with modelling tools. Lacking inspiration? Don't worry, special cake decorating templates will make it easier!
You certainly won't be short of ideas for unusual decorations. Use fruit, colourful sweets or even edible pansies - only a lack of ideas can limit you.
Whether it's the children's birthday parties, the holidays or even a Sunday afternoon - any occasion is a good time to prepare delicious homemade cakes. Swap the glass you've used for years for ingenious stamps or moulds. You'll be surprised at the variety of designs and shapes - stars and hearts are classic, but nowadays you can make dinosaurs, bunnies and even funny moustaches. Give the finished sweets a splash of colour, too. Use colourful sprinkles, sugar paste and edible pearls. Use special markers to draw fancy designs on them, add lettering and funny drawings. This is delicious fun for the whole family. The only drawback to cookies made in this way is that they disappear at an alarming rate.
