The
glass presented here is a classic, minimalist example of Danish functional design. The shape of the accessory is more reminiscent of a tealight candleholder than an object from which to drink.
High-quality glass combined with Scandinavian restraint in design have resulted in a glass that, in addition to its utilitarian function, also has an
aesthetic one, being a decoration in itself. The set at the price shown includes two glasses.
The AB/C collection takes its name from the ceramicist Axel
Brüel, who was a
Lyngby employee in the 1940s and 1950s and had a great influence on the direction of design of utilitarian objects, which were characterised by a clean and functional design. More than 60 years later, Axel's work is reflected in glass designs by his... daughter -
Charlotte, whose work is based on her father's distinctive
design.
