Each Ruutu vase is unique. Blown by hand into a steel mould, the difficult shape of the vase, as well as its intense colours, require great skill on the part of the craftsmen, and the entire production process including hand polishing takes 24 hours. What's more, the creation of one Ruutu vase requires as many as seven craftsmen, whose hard work and craftsmanship are reflected in the extraordinary fluidity of the form and the excellent quality of the flat surfaces. It is therefore no surprise that this design has received such prestigious awards as the Design Award 2015 and the reddot award 2015 in the best of the best category. Ruutu vases, available in several sizes and colours, look great solo, but are most impressive when put together in a larger group.
