The decoration comes from a collection inspired by the Fabergé eggs that the Tsars of Russia's Romanov dynasty used to order to celebrate Easter. It is similarly richly decorated and even dripping with gold.

• The La Citta dell'amore mio decoration by Alessi has an elegant, shiny surface. The enamel contains a small amount of real gold.
• It is decorated with coloured pebbles.
• A gold chain is also included so that the decoration can not only be placed on a shelf, but also hung anywhere in the house.
