Description

Heavy, cast-iron, health-safe frying pans by Skeppshult are not a one-time cooking adventure, but a professional investment for years to come! The classic pancake pan with low rim from the Natural Selection collection presented here will meet the expectations of even the most demanding pancake lovers. The brand's characteristic material, cast iron, which is indispensable in the kitchen, the thick concave bottom and the appropriate weight of the pan guarantee highly satisfactory results of kitchen experiments. The handle is made of Swedish beech wood and finished with a steel hanging handle.
All cookware from the well-known Skeppshult brand is made in Sweden from the beginning to the end of the production process from the highest quality cast iron. Suitable for induction hobs as well as all other types of hobs, the cookware is completely safe for ceramic surfaces, thanks to the suitable shape of the bottom and the properties of the material used. Cast iron, a completely health-safe material, also allows the heat to be evenly distributed throughout the cookware and stored for a long time, making Skeppshult cookware ideal for serving food straight to the table. With the quality of the food being prepared and the safety of the users in mind, all Skeppshult cookware has a concave bottom, no thinner than 6 mm and is correspondingly heavy. For frying on Skeppshult pans and other cookware, we recommend using vegetable oil and frying at 180 - 200 °C. The cast iron surface is covered by a 25-year manufacturer's guarantee and the rest of the components are covered by a 2-year warranty.

More about this product

CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF SKEPPSHULT CAST IRON PANS Using cast iron pans requires skill and feeling: the surface of the pan becomes increasingly resistant to sticking, and the more often the pan is used at high temperatures, the more the impregnated oil protects the surface. However, it is important to remember to impregnate the pan regularly. For daily care of cast iron pans, a brush and warm water is all that is needed - do not use any detergents or wash the pan in the dishwasher. It is best to clean the pan while it is still warm and dry the surface thoroughly after washing. Placing it on a hot burner is a good drying method. If the surface of the pan shows a brown colour or any other colour that deviates from the standard colour of cast iron, this may indicate that the pan has been washed incorrectly. In such a situation, coarse salt should be poured over the entire surface of the pan and a small amount of water should be poured over it. Then heat the pan at a high temperature for about 1-2 minutes until all the water has evaporated. After this, remove the salt and wipe the pan dry with a paper towel. The product will now have a grey colour, and this colour suggests that the pan should be impregnated with oil. To do this, pour a small amount of rapeseed oil into a dry pan and then heat the pan to a high temperature. Remember not to heat dishes with a wooden handle in the oven/oven! After about 10-15 minutes, remove any excess oil. The pan should be black in colour which means it is ready for use again.
