Zaha Hadid
Zaha Hadid was born in 1950 in Baghdad. After receiving a degree in mathematics, she moved to London to study architecture. Some of Zaha Hadid's work remains in design to this day due to its boldness and originality. Completed projects include the BMW headquarters buildings in Leipzig, the ski jump in Innsbruck and the Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art in Cincinnati. Zaha Hadid is the first female winner of the "architectural Nobel" - One of Zaha Hadid's current projects is the Olympic swimming pool, which is being prepared for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
