The Metal Clock is a project by the Norm Architects studio, which creates for the Menu brand as part of the trend the manufacturer calls soft minimalism. All of the signature designs from the Norm studio are projects that pay homage to the traditions and norms of design, while reaching for a simple, minimalist style that best brings out and emphasises the beauty of objects. Made of brushed stainless steel or brushed brass, the clock is decorated with only simple minute and hour hands. According to designers Kasper Ronn and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen, furnishings should not only be durable in terms of the materials used to make them, but also aesthetically pleasing. Consequently, their designers should also renounce temporary fashions or trends. Such is the case with the Norm Metal clock presented here, which is timeless. The clock is powered by a single AA battery and has a silent mechanism.
