Heats up quickly, makes no noise and is lightweight and good looking. The lid is a little hard to open, but you get used to it.

I bought a second one because it's nice. The first one lasted 4 years of really intensive use.

Visually the kettle is lovely and I make no secret of the fact that this swayed the decision to buy. It is made very carefully to the smallest detail, here I have nothing to complain about. As far as use is concerned, I deduct one star for the noise level when boiling water and the fact that the opening for pouring water is small, which results in it not being very comfortable to fill (e.g. with a "one tea" cup or a Brita kettle) and there is no water level indicator, so you don't know how much water you have already poured into it, because it is hard to judge. Probably it is a matter of getting used to it, but for the time being it is quite annoying.

I don't know where so much admiration comes from. The kettle in person is not as pretty as in the pictures, the lid opening mechanism is "clumsy" and the surface needs a lot more care to look nice than standard kettles. If the kettle is to stand as a decoration then you can probably buy it, but for people who use the kettle - I would advise against it.

The kettle is really great and it's beautiful.
It is very quiet. Lightweight, so when you fill it with water you feel the weight of the water and not additionally the structure of the kettle. The handle is very well balanced. The kettle has the option to stow and retract the cable in the base. I read in the comments that it doesn't and this is not true. The base has several outlets and you can arrange the cable in the most suitable place. The only thing I can complain about is that there is no indication of how to open it. It is known that the owner will read the instructions and know that the handle on the lid has to be moved. However, a guest, such as my mother who has not seen the instructions, simply pulls hard on the handle. After a few times like this, I'm worried that the catch might pull out. And it would have been enough to add a delicate, discreet arrow on the lid that the handle should be moved. After all, no one is going to hold the instructions to the kettle.

The kettle is lovely. It heats water quickly and works quietly. I am very pleased with the purchase. It fits perfectly in a modern kitchen.

I bought the kettle having only seen it in pictures. Before taking delivery I had mixed feelings due to the mixed reviews on the internet. Fortunately the negative ones turned out to be untrue. The kettle is great, it has a beautiful matt finish, lovely detailing including the subtle brand logo on the top of the lid. The pleating done perfectly, no sharp edges. It fits well in the hand, is well balanced, not a lightweight cheap kettle from the market. It has a strainer at the spout. The only real drawback I can see is the very narrow opening of the water inlet. For fans of good design I definitely recommend it. It makes an electrifying impression.

The only disappointment was UK plug adaptor comes in white not black to match the original plug. I mean that matters when you're getting a designer product, right? But no to worries, I've already got a black replacement for it

I've always wanted a kettle that at first sight doesn't look like a typical electric kettle, and I've had enough of ubiquitous steel and cheap plastic. I wanted it to have a modern design and not to be prohibitively expensive. This kettle is perfect! No unnecessary elements, indicators, measures, inscriptions (except for a small Alessi on the lid), simplicity, uniformity in appearance and at the same time original, unusual form. I did not need any additional functions, so it fully meets my expectations. During cooking a nice red light shines. It is not super quiet, but also not very loud. The workmanship and quality of the material is perfect, but this is what I expected from the Alessi brand, which I know and love. Price very attractive for this brand and quality.
