Milky Way Minor is a set of cheese knives designed by Anna and Gian Franco Gasparini. It is a natural development of the La Via Lattea project, well-known in the Officina Alessi range. Thinking of cheese gourmets who do not need tools as professional as those included in the extraordinary La Via Lattea sets, the design couple offered Alessi the slightly more versatile and accessible Milky Way Minor. Despite the fact that the set is a simplification of an earlier idea, it remains a specialised tool set created from high-quality materials.
The Milky Way Minor knife set case is an interesting idea for storing and displaying unusual kitchen tools. When folded, it looks like a simple knife block. However, by being able to open like a book, it provides an opportunity to look at the interesting shapes of the blades.
