Product description

Description

With its 29 cm and 21 cm diameters, the Mediterraneo inner bowl will give this original design by Emma Silvestris, inspired by shapes found in nature, specifically in the underwater depths, a whole new dimension. The Mediterraneo bowl, which was previously designed for serving fruit, will now also be used as a salad bowl for salads, opening up a whole new range of applications for the lucky owners of this unusual dish. The salad bowl will also match another fruit bowl by Alessi, namely the La Rosa bowl.

Emma Silvestris Emma Silvestris was born in 1962 in Salerno. She studied foreign literature and art history. Since 1990 she has been involved in design, working at Special Studio in Bari. Among other things, she designed the entire Mediterraneo range of products for Alessi. Her work combines soft, flowing lines, precision and elegance. She often uses antique symbols and signs, which, when presented with modern technology and materials, take on a new, contemporary meaning.
