Alessi

We are the ambassador and largest retailer of Alessi products in Poland, with an extensive product warehouse and the largest display of Alessi products in the country.

The founder of Alessi, in 1921, was Giovanni Alessi.
Design, in the modern sense of the term, came to the company in the late 1930s, through the founder's first-born son Carlo. He was the author of most of the items introduced to the catalogue in the decade before 1945, when he presented his last design, the 'Bombe' tea and coffee service.

In 1970, Carlo introduced his elder son Alberto to the company, to whom he gradually handed over responsibility for design management, and then slowly paved the way for other representatives of the younger generation of the family - sons Michele and Alessio and grandson Stefano, who brought a kind of injection of creativity and freshness to the company. This has enabled Alessi to develop a policy of design excellence that has made it a leading representative of the phenomenon known throughout the world as the Factories of Italian Design.

One of the characteristics that characterises Alessi today is its ability to combine the requirements, typical of industrial production, with the tendency to treat itself more as a 'research laboratory in applied arts' than as an industrial plant in the traditional sense. Hence the need for constant research and experimentation and, starting in the '80s, experiments with new materials and technologies - wood, porcelain and ceramics, plastics, glass and crystal, electricity and electronics.

Alessi, over the years of its activity, has produced objects developed by more than two hundred designers, among whom it is worth mentioning names such as Ettore Sottsass, Richard Sapper, Achille Castiglioni, Aldo Rossi, Michael Graves, Massimo Morozzi, Philippe Starck, Stefano Giovannoni and Guido Venturini, Enzo Mari, Jasper Morrison, Marc Newson, Ron Arad.... and Alessandro Mendini, who has also served as design advisor since 1979.
