Grow Wristwatch

The Grow watch is a project by Andrea Morgante, whose aim was to create a watch structure that would give the impression of time flowing through it. Hence the use of a polyurethane, harmonious, monolithic form with a texture inspired by the natural functions of the human body. The horizontal grooves reflect the muscles, or more specifically the muscle fibres, hidden under the skin. Thus, the Grow watch symbolises the mechanisms and work that the human body performs every second of our lives. The inspiration of natural functions and organic shapes can also be seen perfectly in the designer's other works, such as the Megaptera platter, which reflects the shape of the skin of cetaceans when they are feeding. 'Beautiful deformation' is therefore a hallmark of the designer, and the Watch watch is a perfect example of this. Contrasting hands with the colour of the strap, the absence of hour markers on the dial, decorated only with the brand logo, are other features of this unique design.
