Dressed Pot and pan lid

The Dressed pot series is part of the collection from the Alessi Autumn/Winter 2012 catalogue, designed by Marcel Wanders. The hallmark of the author of 'Dressed' has become the unconventional way of applying decorations, in unusual, often invisible at first glance places. This unusual method, which is in opposition to standard techniques of decorating elements of interior furnishings, makes interacting with objects made by the Dutchman a highly sensual experience, based not only on visual sensations, but above all on the feelings evoked by the touch of unusual material textures. The lid presented here is made of the highest quality polished 18/10 stainless steel and then decorated with a special, exclusive forging technique. The Dressed lid is available in four sizes, matching the corresponding sizes of the pots and pans in the collection.
The Dressed collection, as the name suggests, is a series of richly decorated dishes whose decoration, like that of a beautiful dress from a top designer, optimally highlights the shapes without overshadowing them with its richness. Marcel Wanders' designs combine floral motifs with baroque splendour, held in an elegant style. Thanks to the contrast between the relief decoration and the plain background, the entire collection also takes on a lightness. The Dressed line includes crockery, pots, coffee and tea service, crystal glasses and steel cutlery.
