Fruit Basket Tray

The Fruit Basket tray is part of a unique collection designed by SANAA architects for Officina Alessi. The basis for the original series was the coffee and tea service by SANAA entered in the Tea & Coffe Towers competition. The competition aimed to involve renowned architects in the process of creating everyday objects.
The tray is a reference to the eponymous basket, beautifully displaying the service pieces. With the use of stainless steel polished to a high gloss, the tray adds extra depth to the Fruit Basket range of dishes and emphasises the originality of the set.
The gathering of all the shiny steel 'fruits' on the tray creates an unforgettable, unique effect.
