Le Creuset is an iconic French brand that was the first in the world (in 1925) to start making enamel-coated cast iron cookware. The name 'Le Creuset' comes from the casting mould in which the products are artisanally created.
From the 1930s to the 1950s, further collections were created, but also the first intense enamel colour - now known as 'flame'. It is the one most associated with the brand, although a whole palette of beautiful, characterful colours has since emerged.
The use of cast iron coated with high-temperature baked-on coatings accounts for the high quality and durability of the products, which the manufacturer confirms by offering a lifetime guarantee on its products.
Carefully crafted cookware with evenly thick walls distributes heat perfectly, heating the food evenly. Cast iron retains energy for a long time, allowing it to be saved. Cast iron cookware can be used on all types of cookers.
